Our tours take place on two unique sites, just five minutes apart: Begawan Gita Breeding & Conservation Centre and Begawan Giri Farm.
See Bali Starlings up close and feed the birds in our private breeding centre, then take a journey into heritage rice and gardening on our beautiful farm.

For most visitors, we recommend our combined half-day tour – which explores Begawan’s Bali Starling initiative and regenerative farming model – together with a healthy lunch of farm-fresh, fire-cooked dishes in Begawan Biji restaurant.
If you have a special interest in rice cultivation or bird conservation, you can also opt to take our dedicated farm tour or Bali Starling tour, for deeper insight into these subjects. Our farm tour will take you to our permaculture garden, rice fields, nursery, composting house and poultry house. The Bali Starling tour begins in the breeding centre and ends in our release site on the farm.
All tours are led by Begawan’s English-speaking Indonesian team members. You may also have a chance to meet our farm workers, bird keeper, chef, and other members of our organisation.
Tours start at 9am, are available from Tuesday to Friday, and run two to three hours long, not including time for lunch. We ask for 24 hours notice beforehand so we can prepare well for your tour. Please bring your hat, comfortable shoes for walking, a refillable water bottle, and binoculars.

Full payment for tours is required in advance or on arrival. We accept credit or debit cards payments, bank transfers, and payments in Indonesian Rupiah.
Guests must provide their own transportation.
Guests must follow the safety guidelines and instructions provided by the tour guide.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the tour begins will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour will unfortunately not be refunded.
Begawan may modify or cancel tours in case of unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather conditions. In these cases guests may choose to change their tour date or receive a full refund.
Refunds for cancelled tours will be processed within seven working days.
